The healthcare innovations to which Bruce has made meaningful contributions include: defining smart hospitals through introducing ambient intelligence to healthcare (care.ai, sold to Stryker), scaling consumer and provider adoption of virtual care (Livongo, sold to Teladoc), accelerating the shift toward value-based care (Valence Health, sold to Evolent), helping pioneer and catalyze the widespread adoption of remote patient monitoring following the introduction of the iPhone (Sequoia Capital backed AirStrip) and driving early market acceptance of electronic medical records in the 1990s (Eclipsys & IBM). Bruce graduated from University of Florida and received a M.B.A from Loyola University of New Orleans.
